Motion isn’t just about movement—it’s about meaning.

The world is cluttered with half-finished thoughts and good ideas left for dead. I don’t let that happen. I’ve spent nearly two decades crafting digital content that isn’t just animated, designed, or polished—but built to move, to work, to resonate. I’ve learned that the real trick isn’t making things look good (though that certainly helps); it’s making them clear, engaging, and, above all, finished. People call me when they need complexity turned into clarity, ideas turned into action, and a looming deadline turned into a job well done.

Motion designers, animators, and computer graphics artists are everywhere. But not all of them know how to strip an idea down to its essence, build it back up without any wasted time, and still make it look effortless. That’s what I do. The difference between a good idea and a great one is execution—and I don’t leave good ideas stranded.

Get in Touch

Some lofty ideals I try to live up to, give or take.

Innovation

Doing things the usual way is fine—until you realize the usual way was invented by someone half-asleep in 1953. I prefer new ideas, especially the ones that work.

Integrity

I make things the right way, not the easy way. This has caused me stress, but at least I can sleep at night.

Creativity

Everything worth remembering started as an absurd idea. I take those ideas, shape them, and make them look like they belonged here all along.

Quality

If I wouldn’t put my name on it, it’s not finished. If I would put my name on it, I’ll probably still tweak it five more times.

Collaboration

Great things happen when people stop talking over each other and start building something together—when ideas are shared, refined, and built together.

Passion

I’d be doing this even if nobody paid me. But luckily, people do, which means I get to keep doing it without starving.

Skillsets and Expertise

Motion Design 2D/3D

Core skillset with expertise in After Effects for animation, compositing, and effects—Cinema 4D for 3D animation, MoGraph, and simulations. Over 18 years of experience working in both of these applications as well as companion applications, such as Photoshop and illustrator.

Art Direction

Leading and directing the design for posters, postcards, brochures, and online advertisements for Bay Pointe Ballet’s performances during their 2014/2015 season. Also, while working as a motion designer in the creative department there have been numerous opportunities to help out and step up to provide art direction when needed.

Graphic Design

Designing, illustrating, and photo retouching for posters, postcards, brochures, and online advertisements. Comping style frames and mockups for videos, websites, and advertisements—Graphic design is the foundation that keeps all my work grounded. It is an ongoing passion to maintain high standards for evoking emotion and gaining interest/attention in communication.

Video Editing

Editorial in Premiere Pro since 2012 for projects such as Tanjarine and Portland Youth Builders. Using Final Cut Pro 7 since 2009 for projects such as Adidas' GameFace promos, commercial ads, and other web videos.

Compositing and Color

Compositing video in After Effects and Premiere Pro for numerous projects both for videos and with developers to deliver compositing files for use during runtime and/or app development. Color grading with After Effects and Apple Color since 2009, and more recently with Premiere Pro and the Magic Bullet Suite.

Video and Interactive Prototyping

Animated demos for video presentations and training.
